A man was shot dead in west Moscow on Saturday...
The shooting took place at 2:30 p.m. (11:30 GMT) as the man was leaving a block of flats near the Universitet metro station.
"An unidentified gunman fled after shooting the man as he was coming out of a block of flats, " the source said. "The victim died at the scene."
The dead man has not yet been identified.
Eyewitnesses say the gunman was tall and wearing a grey-blue puffer jacket, as well as a black hat and jeans.
Police are at the scene and an investigation is underway.
