The reported $10.7 million deal will keep Rosina, who has been capped once for Italy, in St. Petersburg for the next four years.

Zenit manager Dick Advocaat, set to leave the club to take over the Belgian national side at the end of the Russian season in November, hit out at the club"s new sporting director Igor Korneev on Friday.

Advocaat was quoted as saying by the Fontanka newspaper that he was disappointed with the club"s forays into the transfer market.

He said he had expected the club to be able to buy stronger players than Rosina and Belarusian striker Sergey Kornilenko with the money the club earned from the February sale of star forward Andrei Arshavin to Arsenal and the summer transfer of captain Anatoliy Tymoshchuk to Bayern Munich.
