"At around 10:00 a.m. Moscow time [06:00 GMT], a VAZ-2107 vehicle exploded as it was leaving Magas," the spokesman said, adding that the explosive was mounted to the bottom of the Lada.
He added that the man killed in the blast was Mukhammed Bekov, 23, who worked as a driver for a local medical center.
Ingushetia, one of Russia"s poorest regions and situated in the mainly Muslim North Caucasus, has been hit by a series of high-profile attacks on troops, police and other officials recently. Violence has been linked to separatists in neighboring Chechnya and local inter-clan rivalry.
