Russian investigators denied on Friday media...

"The information spread by the mass media alleging that suspects in the terrorist attacks in the Moscow metro have been detained ... is incorrect," a spokesman for investigators told RIA Novosti.

An unnamed law enforcement source said earlier on Friday Russian police had detained the suspects.

The attack on the Moscow metro occurred on March 29 as two bombs detonated during the morning rush hour at the Lubyanka and Park Kultury metro stations, killing 40 people and injuring over 100.

Russia"s Investigative Committee has also denied reports that suspects in the recent murder of Russian federal judge Eduard Chuvashov had been identified.

Eduard Chuvashov, 47, died on Monday in the stairwell of his apartment block from bullet wounds to the chest and head. The killer fled the scene immediately after the attack.
