A. Both, just like any other fashion week in the world. Couturiers demonstrate their vision of fashion half a year ahead at shows that gather buyers and the press. In this sense, it is business. On the other hand, every show is a market-oriented advertising event, to which couturiers invite friends, clients and celebrities, which makes it a social event. Nothing matters more to a couturier than public and professional approval of his collections.
